Series of public meetings focused on discussing Canterbury’s Master Plan
Please join the Planning Board and participate in the ongoing
Master Plan process—with pizza and apple cider! Your next
chance is Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Town Hall in the Center at 7
pm.
The Planning Board and the Central NH Regional Planning
Commission were pleased that over 40 residents and interested
parties attended the public meeting in the Town Hall on Sept.
There was a series of spirited discussions about the
process of redrafting a town’s Master Plan, the importance of
the agricultural and rural heritage of the town to its residents,
and the preference for incremental change in any development
so that it is appropriate for Canterbury.
It is hoped that the draft of the updated Master Plan, or Plan for
Tomorrow, will be available to residents to read by Nov. 1. It will
be in digital form on the town website, and hard copies will also
be in the town office, library and country store.
Want to Join in Shaping Our Town’s Future? In addition to the Oct. 10 meeting, there will be further public meetings held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 14, and Tuesday, Dec. 12. Look for updates in the town email and town Facebook page over the upcoming weeks.
