New Hampshire presidential primary voting will be held Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 7 am to 7 pm at the Canterbury Elementary School. Please contact the Town Clerk as soon as possible for absentee ballots. The application is also available on the town website.

School meetings: The public hearing for the 2024-2025 school budget will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 6 pm at Belmont Middle School, with a snow date of Tuesday, Jan. 16, also at BMS at 6 pm.

A deliberative session, at which changes to the proposed budget can be made, will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Belmont High School beginning at 6 pm. That will be followed in March by voting at the polls on the proposed budget and other items, with no opportunity for further discussion.

Town Meeting: The filing period for local offices in the March town meeting begins 
Jan. 24, and petitioned warrant articles are due on Feb. 6.
