The Elkins Public Library Speaker Series Presents:
In Store for some Stories about the Store? by Mark Stevens, Thursday, May 16, at 6 pm in the Town Hall. Join us for some history about our Canterbury Country Store. Mark will present a slideshow and promises plenty of old photos, history, stories, half-truths, previously unrevealed secrets, and a memory testing game of “who is that?”
A brief reception will follow at the Canterbury Country Store in the Feed Loft/Community Art Gallery, where Mark’s historic photos will be hung alongside local artists’ depictions of the Canterbury Center’s store.
Save the date: Kim Varney Covered Bridges of New Hampshire, Past and Present, on Thursday, June 13, at 6 pm in the Town Hall. This is a NH Humanities Program and will focus on the covered bridges in our local area.
