From the Canterbury Fair …

You know one of the great things about this town? People. That’s right, people.

You got the spirit, you people. When the Beltramos bowed out of the fair for this summer, Rick Zeller jumped right up and volunteered to do the parking schtick that Jeff did so well. Mindy’s shoes were big to fill so we got two: Kelly Dixon, a fair newbie, and Jayne Hastings took over the publicity shindig, including the Facebook page and Insta-whatever.

But we need more people!

The Book Sale needs somebody (or two somebodies ideally) to shadow Stephanie Jackson so they can be the book people next year.

The Sunset Mountain people are always game for the famous Chicken BBQ but Kim and Jim Wieck need two people to shadow them for this year because the Wiecks are bowing out after yeomen service.

Sally Hayslip, one of the key people at the fair for so many years, needs more people to help out at the What-Not.

Hope that’s enough for you people!

Come to the next fair meeting at 6:30 on Tuesday, May 7, in the Thunberg Room, upstairs in the Parish House (it’s behind the Country Store) to find lots of other opportunities to help.
