The Canterbury Historical Society reports with sorrow the passing of Trustee Brian Titilah and his wife, Helena Titilah. Brian became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2007, and over the past sixteen years generously shared his vast knowledge of antiques and his love of local history with the society in various ways. These included organizing the popular CHS program, “Antiques Appraisal Day.” staffing the Houser One Room Schoolhouse during the Canterbury Fair, and participating as a member of the Collections Committee for the archives.

When there was a need, Brian was often the first to raise his hand and volunteer his time and, when critical questions were posed during meetings, his insight was always accompanied with a smile. The Board of Trustees and staff of the Canterbury Historical Society wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Titilah’s sons, Ross and Douglas, and wish them comfort during this time of profound loss in their family and in their Canterbury community.
