(Note: This article has been updated with new figures!)
We’re pleased to announce that through the end of February, customers of Canterbury Community Power (CCP) have benefited from $129,000 in rate savings compared to Unitil, Eversource and NHEC default energy rates, and an additional $82,000 in Canterbury’s allocated share of Coalition Joint Reserves, which amounts to our share of equity in the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire’s net assets. This amounts to total accumulated Community Benefits of over $211,000 since the program launch in June 2023. Since Feb. 29, that total will have risen further!
Meanwhile, new electric energy rates for CCP customers will be set at the end of June, effective Aug. 1. Look for more details on rates, and a status report on the unresolved dispute with our delivery utilities over net metering rates, in the digital version of the newsletter and the town email.
