I am recently back from 5 weeks in Zimbabwe. It was discouraging, as most of our students, with a few exceptions, are doing poorly in school. The teachers are not motivated due to ooor salaries. A Light for Zimbabwe does provide extra lessons but only for those taking state exams.
Drought and poor harvests are impacting our food program too. I am very grateful for the support of sponsors for about one-third of our students. Currently we send 17 to primary, 19 to secondary and two to trade schools, plus six at college or university. Learn more and support us at alightforzimbabwe.org.
