Black Pickup Truck (BPT)

Every Saturday Morning I make the
six mile trip to the dump and village
where I get paid for an hour
to be a town character. I sit on the steps
with the other geezers and we count
the black pickup trucks coming and going
The other day, coming in,
there was a BPT in front of me,
one in back, three at the dump
and three at the PO
Later on the fifteen mile trip to Concord
I count forty seven BPTs, including
a large BPT towing a trailer
with three new BPTS on it.
What’s going on? It’s a conspiracy.
We are surrounded. Neighbors
on both sides of me have one
Keep track of them at night
as they whiz by, women or girls driving
add three points
Better be careful, they are out to
get us Look out the window,
you probably will see one.
Maybe two.
