On Saturday, July 20, at 10 am at the home of Glen and Kitty Rodgers on the shores of Hot Hole Pond (7505 School Street, Loudon), the Friends of Hot Hole Pond will host a program titled, “Protecting Our Ponds: Understanding Watersheds and Cyanobacteria.”
The speakers are Nisa Marks, NH Department of Environmental Services, and Gloria Norcross of NH Lakes. Residents of our pond will talk about their continuing pond-friendly efforts to make their properties “LakeSmart.”
We all live in a watershed, whether we are on a lake or pond or not. Protecting these areas is very important to us all. The state of New Hampshire’s efforts to mitigate the effects of cyanobacteria will be discussed. Breakfast treats will be served.
Call Glen and Kitty at (603) 227-9090 for more information.
