What lawn?
I like it unkempt,
just a path to the house
through the tall grass.
Get wet sometimes after a rain but so what.
Besides, tall plantings give the illusion
of a short house close to the ground, 
so the landscapers say.

Feller at work offered me a boat, a small boat, a peapod, needed work. 
I’m not good at that, have no pond stream nearby,
live 20 miles inland from Portsmouth. 
Told my daughter and she said Bring
it home Dad, put it on the lawn, 
everyone onna coast has a boat on their lawn.
Put that lobster crate in it,
the one you keep back of your pick-up. 
Better yet I could patch it up, fill it with water.
Good place for my ducks.
