The next meeting of Elkins Public Library Board of Trustees is on Monday, Sept. 16, at 6 pm.

The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day.
 
Congratulations to Miss Cheryl and the whole EPL team for hosting the most amazing Summer Reading Program this year! Our participation numbers were off the chart and the positive feedback for getting out and finding adventure was overwhelming. Thank you Canterbury!

Story Time: Starting Sept. 3, join us for stories, songs and a craft, Tuesdays at 10 am. This program is perfect for preschoolers.

Tunes, Tales & Tumbles: Starting Sept. 5, join us on Thursdays at 10 am for a program filled with singing, dancing, rhymes, musical instruments and more! This program is perfect for our littlest patrons.

LEGO Day: Join us for a morning of creativity on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 10 am to noon. We will have DUPLOs out for our littlest patrons.

Teen Night: Our monthly Teen Night starts back up Tuesday, Sept. 24. Join us at 5 pm for PIZZA NIGHT and let’s talk about what programs you’d like to see this year.

The Old Man Boring Book Club: This group is ready to start up again on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 6 pm. Spend your time until then collecting tales and adventures to share.

Murder, Mayhem and Misadventure: We will start our September meeting with a review of books read over the summer, solve a murder puzzle and receive the book Malice Aforethought about two murders in the 1870s, one in Vermont and one in Pembroke, NH. We will meet the author, Avree Kelly Clark, at our October meeting. Come join us on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 2:30.

Evening Book Group: Our next meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 6 pm, where we will discuss The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese.  Copies are available at the desk on Libby,or on Hoopla. It’s a long book so take advantage of some extra time to read it.

Free Tech Help: Kal is returning to their weekly volunteer schedule of providing free technical help in September. Thank you, Kal. Call the library today to reserve your half hour appointment on Thursdays between 4 pm and 6 pm.
