After decades in Canterbury, our friends, neighbors, volunteers, public servants and all-round generous people Lois Scribner and Howard Moffett are moving from Canterbury to start a new chapter.

All are invited to join a “Democracy is Sweet” potluck farewell party to say thanks and share memories in Canterbury Center on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m.  Bring your chair or blanket, and, if you can, bring a dessert.

Lois and Howie have been on countless town committees and worked on many town projects that will benefit all of us long into the future. Don’t miss this chance to show your appreciation and wish them well.

If it rains, the celebration will move inside Town Hall.
