It’s all about the herbs: On Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6 pm in the Parish House we will be having our first meeting of the season and taking a dive into the benefits of herbs! Herbs –flowering, aromatic, culinary, medicinal — are widely planted in permaculture.
Learn why they’re helpful, how to grow them and new ways to use their abundance. Free seeds and starts, plus tasty things.
Get your paws on a Pawpaw: On Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12:30, learn all about Pawpaws, the “hot” trending fruit that nobody has! Except us 🙂 Pawpaws are custardy, sweet, and lushly tropical-tasting. Pick one, sample several, learn all about them and consider if you want to grow some. Pest- and disease-free, deer-repellant, fully hardy trees available. Rain or shine, this event will also be at Laurie Lockwood’s place at 444 North West Road in Canterbury.
