The FOEPL (Friends of Elkins Public Library) Chocolate Raffle Basket will be on display in the library until Thursday, Nov. 7. Tickets will also be available at the Indoor Farmers’ Market at Canterbury Elementary School on Saturday, Nov. 9, where the drawing will take place. The cost is $5 for one ticket, $20 for 5 tickets. The market will be open from 10 am to 1 pm; the drawing will be at about 12:30 pm. You do not have to be present to win.

There will be a second raffle basket at the Dec. 7 Indoor Farmers Market.  A collection box for donations to the December basket will only be set up from Nov. 12-18.  Tickets will be on sale at the library from Nov. 19-Dec. 5. We’ll be collecting items for a holiday charcuterie basket, such as olives, crackers, honey, nuts, dried fruit, cranberry or fig spread, gift cards to the Canterbury Store or Fox Country Smokehouse.

All proceeds from these raffles will be used to support library programming by funding the purchase of materials and equipment used for children’s programs, teen nights, museum passes, etc., by raising funds through raffles as well as through Pub Night and membership dues. FOEPL has given over $6,000 to the library this year by raising funds through raffles as well as through Pub Night and membership dues.
