February is “Love Your Library” Month!

SCHOOL VACATION WEEK 
SUPERHERO TEDDY BEAR SLEEPOVER:

Wed., Feb. 26 at 5:30pm. Join us for a special story time with your stuffed animal. We will read some stories and tuck them in for a sleepover with Harold.

On Thurs., Feb. 27 at 10am, come back to pick up
your stuffy dressed as a superhero! Be prepared
to go through Superhero Training. 


ELKINS LIBRARY SPEAKER SERIES  
Basic Anatomy: Wonders of the Body, Thurs., Feb. 27, 6pm

Please join Martha Gilman, DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). Using her background in teaching and clinical experience, Dr. Gilman is going to share her enthusiasm for our amazing bodies during this one hour lecture (with lots of pictures!) geared towards a general audience. We’ll start with breath and the pathway the air takes on its way to the lungs, which is a lot more complicated than most people realize!! Bring your curiosity and your questions!

Mark your calendar now – you don’t want to miss this event! The fiddle playing will be lively, beverages and snacks will be available, and the old Town Hall will feel like an Irish pub – for one night anyway. (Hosted by FOEPL)


Library Board of Trustees: The next meeting is on Mon., Feb. 24 at 6 pm.


We will be closed on Presidents Day on Mon., Feb. 17. 


Story Time: Join us Tuesdays at 10am for stories, songs and a craft. This program is perfect for preschoolers. 


LEGO Club, Tues., Feb. 18: Miss Cheryl will be at a conference so the library will be having LEGO club from 10 am to 12 pm. There will be DUPLOs for our youngest patrons. 


Tunes, Tales & Tumbles: Join us on Thursdays at 10am for a program filled with singing, dancing, rhymes, musical instruments and more! This program is perfect for our littlest patrons. 


TEEN Night, Tues., Feb. 25: Join us at 5pm for Paint Night! We’ll be serving light snacks. Bring a friend and please let us know if you can make it. 


Chess Mates: This youth chess club meets Mondays from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Our last chess club meeting will be Monday, February 17. 


On Pins & Needles: This group meets Wednesdays at 2pm by the fireplace. Bring your work in progress and enjoy some lively conversation! 


Old Man Boring Book Club (OMBBC): Thursday, February 2 at 6:00pm. This group meets to discuss non-fiction titles that they have enjoyed. Want to spend less time on your phone, involvement in a book group is a great start!


Murder, Mayhem and Misadventure (MMM): February 25 at 2:30 pm. We are going to study a few cyphers today, and perhaps even send a few amongst ourselves! All welcome to join.  


Evening Book Group: Wed., Feb. 19
at 6pm. We will discuss the book “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. Copies are available at the circulation desk or on Libby or Hoopla.
