Remembering Wayne J. Blais

Wayne J Blais, of Canterbury, left this world unexpectedly on December 29, 2024.

Wayne’s family meant everything to him and he was known for making sure his family and loved ones were always taken care of before himself. If you needed him for help, he was there, without question.

He was a gifted craftsman with the uncanny ability to solve most any problem. The quintessential tinkerer, he loved working on projects in his home workshop.

He was born in Concord, NH, but grew up in Canterbury and graduated from Bishop Brady High School. From there, he received an ROTC scholarship and studied electrical engineering at Northeastern Univ. in Boston.

After university, Wayne immersed himself in carpentry and worked his way to management. He was employed by Jewett Construction as a superintendent, where he was very respected by his peers.

Wayne had a love for motorcycles and enjoyed long rides with his wife, friends, and members of the Manchester Motorcycle Club where he was honored to be road captain. He was also an avid reader and a fabulous cook. There was always a seat and plenty of food at Wayne’s table for an unexpected guest.

Wayne is survived by his wife Paula (Gagnon), daughter, Ashley (Blais) LeBlanc and her husband, Chris LeBlanc of Glenville, NY, son, Tyler Blais and his wife, Shayla (Mccarron) of Derry, NH, mother, Linda (Rule) Bliss of Canterbury, NH, father, Wayne A. Blais and his wife, Lola (Kenney) of Tilton, NH, brother, Gary Blais and his wife, Ellen (Falvey) of Todd, NC, bonus daughter, Abigail (Bezio) Diphilippo, of Jacksonville, NC, stepdaughter, Bethany Chamberlain of Manchester, NH, stepson, Jordan Birtz and his wife, Sabrina (Tibbetts) of Hampstead, NH, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him tremendously.

A celebration of life for Wayne will be announced at a later date.
