March Into Your Library This Month

Elkins Public Library Board of Trustees: Next meeting is on Monday, March 17 at 6pm.

Thank you to FOEPL (Friends of Elkins Public Library) for absolutely spoiling us during Love your Library month. It is so nice to be appreciated. Consider joining this positive group who have fun together while supporting the work we do!

Story Time: Join us Tuesdays at 10 am for stories, songs and a craft. This program is perfect for pre-schoolers.

Tunes, Tales & Tumbles: Join us Thursdays at 10am for singing, dancing, rhymes, musical instruments and more! This program is perfect for our littlest patrons.

TEEN Night, Tuesday, March 25: Join us at 5pm! We’ll be serving light snacks. Bring a friend and please let us know if you can make it.

Chess Mates (youth chess club): Mondays, 3:30 – 4:30pm.

On Pins & Needles: Wednesdays at 2pm by the fireplace. Bring your work in progress and enjoy lively conversation!

The Old Man Boring Book Club, Thursday, March 6, 6pm. We missed our February meeting due to snow so this is sure to be a full evening of catching up.

Murder, Mayhem and Misadventure, Tues., March 25, 2:30pm: We will continue our discussion on ciphers, share new books we have read and, if given enough time, solve a few 5-minute mysteries. Join us on March 25 at 2:30 pm.

Evening Book Group, Wednesday, March 19th at 6pm.
We will discuss “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. Copies are available at the circulation desk or on Libby or Hoopla. All are welcome. You don’t have to read the book to attend the meeting and you don’t have to attend the meeting if you want to read the book. 🙂

Free Tech Help: Call the library today to reserve your half hour tech help appointment on Thursdays between 4 – 6 pm. No question is too small!

Elkins Library Speaker Series
Winter Hiking Preparedness and Search and Rescue in NH, Wed., March 12, 6pm, Town Hall
presented by Rodney Phillips
Have you ever asked yourself, “what equipment do I need to safely venture into the mountains for a winter hike?” or “How does Search and Rescue (SAR) work here in NH?” Come to this program to find out!

For other Elkins Public Library Speaker Series
events, check out our website, Facebook,
town email or Concord Monitor Town Crier.

We ask for your support at the Town Meeting on Warrant Article 12 which proposes to raise and appropriate money for the “weatherization” of the
Elkins Library. The Library has long been identified as the town building most in need of energy saving measures by the Canterbury Energy Committee. The warrant article is put forth by the Canterbury Community Power Committee. The staff and the Library Board of Trustees would like to thank CCPC for their research and hard work.
