Great news! 2024 was the year everyone decided that throwing trash out their vehicle windows was a bad idea, so there’s no trash on the roadsides,
and therefore no reason to hold our annual Townwide Roadside Cleanup Day this spring.

April Fools, not really! We ARE holding Townwide Roadside Cleanup Day Sat., April 19th. Email Patrice Rasche at mattieandriley@yahoo.com to say what section of Canterbury’s byways you want to remove the litter from. Then pick up some blue trash bags (either from Patrice or from the Transfer Station), fill them with roadside litter, and bring full bags to the Transfer Station.

You don’t have to let me know if you plan on participating, but there are benefits…

• I can let you know if someone else has already signed up for that stretch of road.
• I can add your name to the list at the Transfer Station staff of people who have signed up to participate.
• I will reach out to you next year to see if you’re still interested!
