The Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office and the Town Office will be closed on Mon., May 25 for Memorial Day. 

Regular Board of Selectmen’s meetings are May 4 and May 18 at 6pm. Meeting agendas and a Zoom link are available on the Town website.

Updates on 2026 Warrant Articles:

•  The new-to-us packer truck was purchased and electric/hydraulic 
    pump installed and is in use at the TS.

•  The Waste Oil Burner has been installed at Highway Garage.

•  The new Dump Truck for the Highway Dept. has been ordered, delivery in July.

•  The Slide in Water Tank for Highway Dept. is ordered. 

•  The new Printer/Copier is hard at work at the Town Office.

•  The new Extrication equipment for the Fire Dept. has been delivered. Training on the equipment starts soon. 

Other Town Updates:

•  The Sam Lake House Garage renovation is complete and files have been moved inside the building. 

•  The Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Conservation Commission, and Historic District Committee met for a “Land Use Board” meeting to discuss collaboration and communication on zoning issues and process improvements. 

•  The Fireworks at Canterbury Elementary School will be held on Sat., July 4 with a rain date of Sun., July 5. Once again, JPI Pyrotechnics will be providing the show. 

•  The annual audit of the Town’s finances is being conducted by Plodzik and Sanderson.
