American Heart Association – Kids Heart Challenge

Mr. McWhinnie recently completed a jump rope unit with the physical education classes. A school-wide goal was set to raise $3,000 for the American Heart Association. CES students surpassed the goal and raised over $3,800! In celebration of their efforts, we held a dance party for the K-2 students and a staff vs. students handball game for the students in grades 3-4. Thank you to everyone who supported us in raising funds for this worthy cause!

I Love to Read Month

Last month we celebrated “I Love to Read Month!” Students participated in a bookmark challenge, played a matching game to guess staff favorites, and enjoyed taking part in “drop everything and read.” We had a special visit from one of the mascots for the NH Fisher Cats, Fungo. He told us about the Fisher Cats Reading Challenge! We also appreciate the many community members who served as guest readers throughout the month. The students enjoyed hearing all of the fun stories!

Thank You, VolunteersWe are so grateful for our amazing volunteers! Community and family members regularly assist us by serving as room parents, coordinating class events and parties, chaperoning field trips, providing classroom support, serving on the PTO and reading to classes during I Love to Read month. We are truly fortunate to have such amazing volunteers and we appreciate all that they do to make CES such a special school.
