Join us for a Teddy Bear Picnic Tuesday, June 16 at 10am! This is a fun way to celebrate the end of our ‘school year’ and to learn about the summertime programs. We’ll play games and read stories; bring your favorite teddy bear and a snack.
Tunes, Tales & Tumbles
Join us Thursdays at 10 am for singing, dancing, musical instruments and more! This program is for preschoolers and is perfect for our littlest patrons.

Outdoor Story Time
It’s getting warmer! So join us on Thursdays at 2pm for outside stories and play! With a focus on all things Nature, this program will meet outside, rain or shine.

LEGO Club **
Join us Tuesdays, from 3pm to 4:15pm for a time of imagination, construction and friendship. (Just a reminder that children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult per our EPL Safe Child Policy.) We’ll have Duplos for our younger patrons.

2026 Summer Reading Program

Our summer reading program will begin on Tuesday, June 30. Join us as we step back in time to the Age of the Dinosaurs!
The Old Man Boring Book Club (OMBBC) meets on June 4 at 6pm. This group reads non fiction books and then they gather to discuss and give book reports. There is no group meeting in July and August as they take a summer break.
Evening Book Group with Rosie will discuss Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter for the book group meeting on Wed., June 17 at 6:00 p.m. Copies are available at the Circulation Desk.
Murder, Mayhem and Misadventure, (MMM) Plus Extras will meet on June 23, 2026 at 2:00 pm. We will watch the movie “The Thursday Murder Club’’. All are welcome.

Community Reading: Frederick Douglass
On Saturday, June 27 at noon, Canterbury Shaker Village will host a community reading of Frederick Douglass’s powerful speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” Part of a statewide initiative led by the Black Heritage Trail of NH, the reading will take place in the Shaker Meeting House. No registration is required. Those interested in serving as readers should contact Kyle Sandler at ksandler@shakers.org.
Pins and Needles: This is a wonderful group who enjoys spending time together while working on knitting, crochet and mending. Consider joining and getting to know your neighbors and make new friends. Every Wednesday at 2:00pm in the fireplace parlor. All levels of crafter are welcome.
