If you want to be part of the fun, contact me at mattieandriley@yahoo.com to say what section of Canterbury’s byways you want to clean up. Then get the special blue bags, either from me or the Transfer Station, pick up the litter, (on the organizing day, on a nice weather day, or on a day when you’re tired of looking at Bud Lite cans), and bring full bags to the Transfer Station.  

You don’t have to check in with me to 
participate, but it is useful because…

I can let you know if someone else has signed up for a stretch of road. A fair share of roadside has already been claimed by participants from previous years! However, if you live on or near Baptist Hill, Baptist Road east of Foster Road, West Road from Carter Hill to Northwest Road, and especially down by the town beach (Old Boyce Road, Oxbow Pond Road, Riverland Road), have I got a road for you!

I can add your name to the list at the Transfer Station of people who have signed up to participate, and I will reach out to you next year to see if you’re still interested!
